Kalaloch Area, Olympic National Park, Washington
Between the mountains and the sea, lies Kalaloch area on the far Western edge of the Olympic National Park area. Here you can find the Kalaloch Lodge, at which you can get a room, or rent a cabin for the night with spectacular views of the ocean. Our recent visit provided us an opportunity to take an evening stroll down the beach bathed in fog softened moonlight. After living in the Midwest for over half a century, it was the first time we finally stepped foot into the Pacific Ocean. Who knows, perhaps we might make it to the Atlantic one of these years?
